నారాయణ ఉవాచ ।
ఓం దుర్గేతి చతుర్థ్యన్తః స్వాహాన్తో మే శిరోఽవతు ।
మన్త్రః షడక్షరోఽయం చ భక్తానాం కల్పపాదపః ॥ 1 ॥
విచారో నాస్తి వేదేషు గ్రహణేఽస్య మనోర్మునే ।
మన్త్రగ్రహణమాత్రేణ విష్ణుతుల్యో భవేన్నరః ॥ 2 ॥
మమ వక్త్రం సదా పాతు ఓం దుర్గాయై నమోఽన్తతః ।
ఓం దుర్గే రక్షయతి చ కణ్ఠం పాతు సదా మమ ॥ 3 ॥
ఓం హ్రీం శ్రీమితి మన్త్రోఽయం స్కన్ధం పాతు నిరన్తరమ్ ।
హ్రీం శ్రీం క్లీమితి పృష్ఠం చ పాతు మే సర్వతః సదా ॥ 4 ॥
హ్రీం మే వక్షఃస్థలం పాతు హస్తం శ్రీమితి సన్తతమ్ ।
శ్రీం హ్రీం క్లీం పాతు సర్వాఙ్గం స్వప్నే జాగరణే తథా ॥ 5 ॥
ప్రాచ్యాం మాం ప్రకృతిః పాతుః పాతు వహ్నౌ చ చణ్డికా ।
దక్షిణే భద్రకాలీ చ నైరృత్యాం చ మహేశ్వరీ ॥ 6 ॥
వారుణ్యాం పాతు వారాహీ వాయవ్యాం సర్వమఙ్గలా ।
ఉత్తరే వైష్ణవీ పాతు తథైశాన్యాం శివప్రియా ॥ 7 ॥
జలే స్థలే చాన్తరిక్షే పాతు మాం జగదమ్బికా ।
ఇతి తే కథితం వత్స కవచం చ సుదుర్లభమ్ ॥ 8 ॥
యస్మై కస్మై న దాతవ్యం ప్రవక్తవ్యం న కస్యచిత్ ।
గురుమభ్యర్చ్య విధివద్వస్త్రాలఙ్కారచన్దనైః ।
కవచం ధారయేద్యస్తు సోఽపి విష్ణుర్న సంశయః ॥ 9 ॥
ఇతి శ్రీబ్రహ్మవైవర్తే మహాపురాణే ప్రకృతిఖణ్డే నారదనారాయణసంవాదే దుర్గోపాఖ్యానే సప్తషష్టితమోఽధ్యాయే బ్రహ్మాణ్డమోహనం నామ శ్రీ దుర్గా కవచమ్ ।
