About Vedic Tithi

Vedic Tithi is led by Harpreet Singh (Founder and Director) and Jagbir (Chief Technology Officer), technology entrepreneurs with cultural roots in Indian traditions. Harpreet leads the company and the product. Jagbir leads engineering, including the astronomy engine and the tests that check our results.

Our team also includes Vedic astrologers Milit Dubey and Manjuu J Singh, and life coach Chandna S. You can read about each of them, with links to their public profiles, on our team page.

Hindu festivals, fasts and muhurats depend on sunrise and the position of the Moon at your location. A calendar made for one city in India can be a day off for a family in Canada, the United States or anywhere else.

We built Vedic Tithi so that every date and time is calculated for the city you live in, and explained in plain language.

Daily Panchang with tithi, nakshatra, yoga, karana, sunrise and Rahu Kaal; a festival and vrat calendar; muhurat and choghadiya timings; Kundali and Kundali matching; articles that explain Vedic traditions; and stotras and scriptures in several Indian scripts.

Everything is free on our website and in our iOS and Android apps.

Every date and time is calculated with Swiss Ephemeris and the Lahiri ayanamsa, and automated tests compare our results with a leading published panchang for New Delhi, New York and Vancouver. Our methodology page explains the details.

Astrology readings and remedies are traditional spiritual guidance, not medical, financial or legal advice. Our disclaimer explains how to use them.
