માસ વૈશાખ કૃતિકા યુત,
હરણ મહી કો ભાર।
શુક્લ ચતુર્દશી સોમ દિન,
લિયો નરસિંહ અવતાર॥
ધન્ય તુમ્હારો સિંહ તનુ,
ધન્ય તુમ્હારો નામ।
તુમરે સુમરન સે પ્રભુ,
પૂરન હો સબ કામ॥
॥ ચૌપાઈ ॥
નરસિંહ દેવ મૈં સુમરોં તોહિ।
ધન બલ વિદ્યા દાન દે મોહિ॥
જય જય નરસિંહ કૃપાલા।
કરો સદા ભક્તન પ્રતિપાલા॥
વિષ્ણુ કે અવતાર દયાલા।
મહાકાલ કાલન કો કાલા॥
નામ અનેક તુમ્હારો બખાનો।
અલ્પ બુદ્ધિ મૈં ના કછુ જાનોં॥
હિરણાકુશ નૃપ અતિ અભિમાની।
તેહિ કે ભાર મહી અકુલાની॥
હિરણાકુશ કયાધૂ કે જાયે।
નામ ભક્ત પ્રહલાદ કહાયે॥
ભક્ત બના બિષ્ણુ કો દાસા।
પિતા કિયો મારન પરસાયા॥
અસ્ત્ર-શસ્ત્ર મારે ભુજ દણ્ડા।
અગ્નિદાહ કિયો પ્રચણ્ડા॥
ભક્ત હેતુ તુમ લિયો અવતારા।
દુષ્ટ-દલન હરણ મહિભારા॥
તુમ ભક્તન કે ભક્ત તુમ્હારે।
પ્રહ્લાદ કે પ્રાણ પિયારે॥
પ્રગટ ભયે ફાડ઼કર તુમ ખમ્ભા।
દેખ દુષ્ટ-દલ ભયે અચમ્ભા॥
ખડ્ગ જિહ્વ તનુ સુન્દર સાજા।
ઊર્ધ્વ કેશ મહાદષ્ટ્ર વિરાજા॥
તપ્ત સ્વર્ણ સમ બદન તુમ્હારા।
કો વરને તુમ્હરોં વિસ્તારા॥
રૂપ ચતુર્ભુજ બદન વિશાલા।
નખ જિહ્વા હૈ અતિ વિકરાલા॥
સ્વર્ણ મુકુટ બદન અતિ ભારી।
કાનન કુણ્ડલ કી છવિ ન્યારી॥
ભક્ત પ્રહલાદ કો તુમને ઉબારા।
હિરણા કુશ ખલ ક્ષણ મહ મારા॥
બ્રહ્મા, બિષ્ણુ તુમ્હે નિત ધ્યાવે।
ઇન્દ્ર મહેશ સદા મન લાવે॥
વેદ પુરાણ તુમ્હરો યશ ગાવે।
શેષ શારદા પારન પાવે॥
જો નર ધરો તુમ્હરો ધ્યાના।
તાકો હોય સદા કલ્યાના॥
ત્રાહિ-ત્રાહિ પ્રભુ દુઃખ નિવારો।
ભવ બન્ધન પ્રભુ આપ હી ટારો॥
નિત્ય જપે જો નામ તિહારા।
દુઃખ વ્યાધિ હો નિસ્તારા॥
સન્તાન-હીન જો જાપ કરાયે।
મન ઇચ્છિત સો નર સુત પાવે॥
બન્ધ્યા નારી સુસન્તાન કો પાવે।
નર દરિદ્ર ધની હોઈ જાવે॥
જો નરસિંહ કા જાપ કરાવે।
તાહિ વિપત્તિ સપનેં નહી આવે॥
જો કામના કરે મન માહી।
સબ નિશ્ચય સો સિદ્ધ હુયી જાહી॥
જીવન મૈં જો કછુ સઙ્કટ હોયી।
નિશ્ચય નરસિંહ સુમરે સોયી॥
રોગ ગ્રસિત જો ધ્યાવે કોઈ।
તાકિ કાયા કઞ્ચન હોઈ॥
ડાકિની-શાકિની પ્રેત બેતાલા।
ગ્રહ-વ્યાધિ અરુ યમ વિકરાલા॥
પ્રેત પિશાચ સબે ભય ખાયે।
યમ કે દૂત નિકટ નહીં આવે॥
સુમર નામ વ્યાધિ સબ ભાગે।
રોગ-શોક કબહૂઁ નહી લાગે॥
જાકો નજર દોષ હો ભાઈ।
સો નરસિંહ ચાલીસા ગાઈ॥
હટે નજર હોવે કલ્યાના।
બચન સત્ય સાખી ભગવાના॥
જો નર ધ્યાન તુમ્હારો લાવે।
સો નર મન વાઞ્છિત ફલ પાવે॥
બનવાયે જો મન્દિર જ્ઞાની।
હો જાવે વહ નર જગ માની॥
નિત-પ્રતિ પાઠ કરે ઇક બારા।
સો નર રહે તુમ્હારા પ્યારા॥
નરસિંહ ચાલીસા જો જન ગાવે।
દુઃખ દરિદ્ર તાકે નિકટ ન આવે॥
ચાલીસા જો નર પढ़ે-પढ़ાવે।
સો નર જગ મેં સબ કુછ પાવે॥
યહ શ્રી નરસિંહ ચાલીસા।
પढ़ે રઙ્ક હોવે અવનીસા॥
જો ધ્યાવે સો નર સુખ પાવે।
તોહી વિમુખ બહુ દુઃખ ઉઠાવે॥
શિવ સ્વરૂપ હૈ શરણ તુમ્હારી।
હરો નાથ સબ વિપત્તિ હમારી॥

મહિમા અપરમ્પાર।
નિજ ભક્તનુ કે પ્રાણ હિત,
લિયો જગત અવતાર॥
નરસિંહ ચાલીસા જો પढ़ે,
પ્રેમ મગન શત બાર।
ઉસ ઘર આનન્દ રહે,
વૈભવ બढ़ે અપાર॥
