Where Is Sun Now? Surya Position and Next Transit

Sun is at 21° 05′ Libra (Tula) now, in Vishakha nakshatra, since 17 October 2026. It enters Scorpio (Vrishchika) on 16 November 2026, 7:43 PM. Surya, the Sun, is the karaka (significator) of the soul, the father, authority, government and vitality. Its entry into each sign is a Sankranti: the Makar Sankranti festival marks its entry into Capricorn (Makara), and the solar months of the Tamil, Bengali and Odia calendars begin with these entries.
