જય જય જય જગ પાવની,
જયતિ દેવસરિ ગંગ।
જય શિવ જટા નિવાસિની,
અનુપમ તુંગ તરંગ॥
॥ ચૌપાઈ ॥
જય જય જનની હરાના અઘખાની।
આનંદ કરની ગંગા મહારાની॥
જય ભગીરથી સુરસરિ માતા।
કલિમલ મૂલ ડાલિની વિખ્યાતા॥
જય જય જહાનુ સુતા અઘ હનાની।
ભીષ્મ કી માતા જગા જનની॥
ધવલ કમલ દલ મમ તનુ સજે।
લખી શત શરદ ચન્દ્ર છવિ લજાઈ॥
વહાં મકર વિમલ શુચી સોહેં।
અમિયા કલશ કર લખી મન મોહેં॥
જદિતા રત્ના કંચન આભૂષણ।
હિય મણિ હર, હરાનિતમ દૂષણ॥
જગ પાવની ત્રય તાપ નાસવની।
તરલ તરંગ તુંગ મન ભાવની॥
જો ગણપતિ અતિ પૂજ્ય પ્રધાન।
ઇહૂં તે પ્રથમ ગંગા અસ્નાના॥
બ્રહ્મા કમંડલ વાસિની દેવી।
શ્રી પ્રભુ પદ પંકજ સુખ સેવિ॥
સાથી સહસ્ર સાગર સુત તરયો।
ગંગા સાગર તીરથ ધરયો॥
અગમ તરંગ ઉઠ્યો મન ભવન।
લખી તીરથ હરિદ્વાર સુહાવન॥
તીરથ રાજ પ્રયાગ અક્ષૈવેતા।
ધરયો માતુ પુનિ કાશી કરવત॥
ધની ધની સુરસરિ સ્વર્ગ કી સીધી।
તરની અમિતા પિતુ પડ़ પિરહી॥
ભાગીરથી તાપ કિયો ઉપારા।
દિયો બ્રહ્મ તવ સુરસરિ ધારા॥
જબ જગ જનની ચલ્યો હહરાઈ।
શમ્ભુ જાતા મહં રહ્યો સમાઈ॥
વર્ષા પર્યંત ગંગા મહારાની।
રહીં શમ્ભૂ કે જાતા ભુલાની॥
પુનિ ભાગીરથી શમ્ભુહીં ધ્યાયો।
તબ ઇક બૂંદ જટા સે પાયો॥
તાતે માતુ ભેં ત્રય ધારા।
મૃત્યુ લોક, નાભા, અરુ પાતારા॥
ગઈં પાતાલ પ્રભાવતી નામા।
મન્દાકિની ગઈ ગગન લલામા॥
મૃત્યુ લોક જાહ્નવી સુહાવની।
કલિમલ હરની અગમ જગ પાવનિ॥
ધનિ મઇયા તબ મહિમા ભારી।
ધર્મં ધુરી કલિ કલુષ કુઠારી॥
માતુ પ્રભવતિ ધનિ મંદાકિની।
ધનિ સુર સરિત સકલ ભયનાસિની॥
પન કરત નિર્મલ ગંગા જલ।
પાવત મન ઇચ્છિત અનંત ફલ॥
પુરવ જન્મ પુણ્ય જબ જાગત।
તબહીં ધ્યાન ગંગા મહં લાગત॥
જઈ પગુ સુરસરી હેતુ ઉઠાવહી।
તઈ જગિ અશ્વમેઘ ફલ પાવહિ॥
મહા પતિત જિન કહૂ ન તારે।
તિન તારે ઇક નામ તિહારે॥
શત યોજન હૂં સે જો ધ્યાવહિં।
નિશચાઈ વિષ્ણુ લોક પદ પાવહીં॥
નામ ભજત અગણિત અઘ નાશૈ।
વિમલ જ્ઞાન બલ બુદ્ધિ પ્રકાશે॥
જિમી ધન મૂલ ધર્મં અરુ દાના।
ધર્મં મૂલ ગંગાજલ પાના॥
તબ ગુન ગુણન કરત દુખ ભાજત।
ગૃહ ગૃહ સમ્પતિ સુમતિ વિરાજત॥
ગંગહિ નેમ સહિત નિત ધ્યાવત।
દુર્જનહૂં સજ્જન પદ પાવત॥
ઉદ્દિહિન વિદ્યા બલ પાવૈ।
રોગી રોગ મુક્ત હવે જાવૈ॥
ગંગા ગંગા જો નર કહહીં।
ભૂખા નંગા કભુહુહ ન રહહિ॥
નિકસત હી મુખ ગંગા માઈ।
શ્રવણ દાબી યમ ચલહિં પરાઈ॥
મહં અઘિન અધમન કહં તારે।
ભએ નરકા કે બંદ કિવારેં॥
જો નર જપી ગંગ શત નામા।
સકલ સિદ્ધિ પૂરણ હ્વૈ કામા॥
સબ સુખ ભોગ પરમ પદ પાવહીં।
આવાગમન રહિત હ્વૈ જાવહીં॥
ધનિ મઇયા સુરસરિ સુખ દૈનિ।
ધનિ ધનિ તીરથ રાજ ત્રિવેણી॥
કકરા ગ્રામ ઋષિ દુર્વાસા।
સુન્દરદાસ ગંગા કર દાસા॥
જો યહ પઢ़ે ગંગા ચાલીસા।
મિલી ભક્તિ અવિરલ વાગીસા॥
