Choghadiya is an ancient Vedic system that divides each day and night into 8 periods of approximately 1.5 hours each. These periods are used to determine auspicious and inauspicious times for various activities.
The system follows a traditional sequence starting from sunrise for day periods and sunset for night periods. Each Choghadiya is governed by different planetary influences and is classified as auspicious (Shubh) or inauspicious (Ashubh).

Death time ruled by Mars, highly inauspicious for new beginnings, suitable only for destruction of enemies (Day period)

Anxiety time ruled by Sun in malefic aspect, creates mental disturbance and should be avoided for important work (Day period)
Movement time ruled by Moon, suitable for travel, relocation and routine activities (Day period)
Profit time ruled by Mercury, excellent for business, trade, communication and financial activities (Day period)
