Choghadiya is an ancient Vedic system that divides each day and night into 8 periods of approximately 1.5 hours each. These periods are used to determine auspicious and inauspicious times for various activities.
The system follows a traditional sequence starting from sunrise for day periods and sunset for night periods. Each Choghadiya is governed by different planetary influences and is classified as auspicious (Shubh) or inauspicious (Ashubh).
